Common mode noise is an electrical disturbance which can cause severe degradations throughout an installation.
In a Battery Energy Storage system, common mode noise is mainly due to the bidirectional power converters.
It can result in dielectric breakdowns and can lead to battery failure; in the worst case scenario, it can cause lithium battery thermal runaway.
